Arsenal Beat Chelsea To Win Womens League Cup

Arsenal beat Chelsea to win Women's League Cup

Chelsea's unbeaten run in the Women's Super League came to a disappointing end this afternoon as they were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal in extra time in the final of the Continental Cup.

The only goal of the game came in the 101st minute, when Stina Blackstenius slotted home from close range after a cross from Beth Mead.

It was a frustrating afternoon for Chelsea, who had the better of the chances in the first half but were unable to find a way past Manuela Zinsberger in the Arsenal goal.

The Blues also had the ball in the net in the second half, but it was ruled out for offside.

Arsenal grew into the game as the match went on, and they eventually found the winner through Blackstenius.

The victory gives Arsenal their second Continental Cup title in three years, and it is a major boost for their hopes of winning the treble this season.

They are currently top of the Women's Super League, and they also have a Champions League semi-final to look forward to.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will be disappointed to have lost their unbeaten run, but they can still finish the season with a trophy if they can win the Women's FA Cup.
