Euro 2024 England

England Draw with Denmark 1-1

Kane's Penalty Earns England a Point

England played out a 1-1 draw with Denmark in their UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier on Friday night, with Harry Kane scoring a penalty to cancel out Andreas Skov Olsen's opener.

The Three Lions were second best for much of the first half, but they improved after the break and deservedly equalized through Kane's spot-kick.

Gareth Southgate's side now have four points from their opening two games in Group C, while Denmark have two points.

England will be back in action on Monday, when they host Slovenia at Wembley Stadium. Denmark, meanwhile, will travel to Albania.

Conclusion

England's draw with Denmark was a fair result, with both teams showing moments of quality. However, the Three Lions will be disappointed not to have taken all three points, especially after Kane's penalty had drawn them level.

Southgate's side will need to improve their performance when they face Slovenia on Monday, but they will be confident of securing a victory at Wembley.
